What is the MFTE program?
The Multifamily Tax Exemption program is run by the Seattle Office of Housing. It allows qualifying apartment communities to offer a portion of their homes at capped rents to households that meet income guidelines set annually by the City. At Link, we're proud to offer 39 income-restricted homes across our 1- and 2-bedroom floor plans.
Do I qualify?
To be eligible, your total household income must fall within the maximum income limits set by the Seattle Office of Housing, based on the size of your household and the type of unit you're applying for. These limits are expressed as a percentage of Seattle's Area Median Income (AMI) and are updated each year. Please contact our leasing team for more information.
What floorplans are available for this program?
MFTE-designated apartments at Link include a variety of 1- and 2-bedroom homes ranging from 518 to 912 square feet. MFTE units are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact our leasing team to learn which units are currently available.
What should I expect as a resident through this program?
MFTE residents enjoy full access to all of Link's amenities, including the rooftop, the fitness center, the penthouse lounge, and everything else. Your restricted rent rate is tied to your unit and household income. The City of Seattle updates the maximum allowable rents each year, so your rate may adjust annually. Qualifying households must re-certify for the program each year.
